I got into a line the other day with one old lady in front of me. She bought 3 packs of cigs. and had to pay for each pack in a different way; change for one, cash for another, and she used a card on the other pack. Everyone in the full lines on both sides of me were checked out and gone before she was finished. And of course new people filled the other lines while I was still waiting.

yep all the time, and i hate it when you're say buying like one or two things and you get in line and the person in front of you has a whole cart full of stuff and they don't even offer to let you go in front of them....i hate it

Always!!! I am convinced that this chick I knew in my 20's who was a witch put a hex on me and it's my curse. So now I just live with it - there will be a missing SKU on an item, the register will blink when I am in line, etc...
If I am at the store with someone I always have them choose the line - I figure if they choose the line the chances are the hex won't apply. Sometimes it works.

That ALWAYS happens to me.
I always make the wrong decisions at the stop light too -- never choose the right lane, always end up in the one that has somebody going 5 miles an hour in front of me !!

all the time. you think you picked the one that will go the fastest but you end up getting behind an old lady who is paying with pennies and a mother and her two screaming, annoying children. Happens all of the time.

You mean the one with the least people but somehow each person in front of you has a problem with their welfare card or has credit in cash only or can't find their wallet or needs a stupid price check?
Cause, yah... I do it EVERY time.
