do they have something to hide or is America just to dumb and ignorant to understand that socialism under Democrats is in their best interest?

Democrats hate Bush. You mean that is not enough? No, but listen, I mean, they really hate Bush. The thing that you must remember is that it is Bush's fault and that Democrats hate him. Vote for hate in November.

The only thing I have heard about the Dems position is hating how bad bush has done and that they want out of Iraq. I saw a lot of polls quoted here. You have to realize that poles are not exactly the defining extent to which we think....think about it....what people get to participate in the Washington Post Poll....I have never seen one in the mid-west. They tend to be an "most americans in this area" not the whole nation. However as far as the elections go, it will depend on what the Reps do from hear on out.

It doesn't matter if an R or D is behind the name of anyone now in Congress they all should be shown the door and sent home. They want to bicker and argue and do nothing for the people they are supposed to represent.
The problems will not solve themselves and we have to elect new blood. In other words which millionaire are you goint to vote for? This government is the best that money can buy and so will be the next Congress. They are all
bowing to the will of Corporate Giants who give them money for the elections. I am throroughly disgusted with the entire lot of clowns. Some changes need to be made and made now!

actually, again, most of america is asleep at the wheel when it comes to what is involved in politics. also, the democrats are coming up with so many talking points so fast that if someone was involved in following the points, theyd almost have to be in the meetings so they know whats going to be ahead of the curve. if you try to do some research on what a talking point of theirs was a month ago, chances are you wont be able to find much on it because it wasnt getting people interested or they found it out to be true, so they lost interest.

What is so hard for the poor Republicans or the people to understand about the Democratic Plan. The Democratic Plan is to govern. Do something about the Health Care needs of the people, making the hard choices in Iraq brought to you by the Republicans who have failed to face reality, and recreate education in the Country which Bush has tried to destroy. That is three difficult areas and maybe we will retool the broken military for the upcoming future of defending America.

Most Americans believe Bush favors the wealthy: "... almost every major poll shows Americans already essentially believe Republicans are waging a class war on behalf of the rich... In March 2004, for example, a Washington Post poll found a whopping 67 percent of Americans believe the Bush Administration favors large corporations over the middle class."
Most Americans want to get tough on corporations: "A 2002 Washington Post poll taken during the height of the corporate accounting scandals found that 88 percent of Americans distrust corporate executives, 90 percent want new corporate regulations/tougher enforcement of existing laws and more than half think the Bush Administration is "not tough enough" in fighting corporate crime."
Most Americans don't feel they've benefited by Bush's tax cuts: "... even the DLC's pollster found in 2001 that a majority of Americans support [repealing Bush's tax cuts to pay down the deficit] ... a September 2004 CBS News poll found that 72 percent of Americans say they have either not been affected by the Bush tax cuts or that their taxes have actually gone up."
Most Americans favor government healthcare: "[The Washington Post's] 2003 national poll found that almost two-thirds of Americans say they prefer a universal healthcare system 'that's run by the government and financed by taxpayers' as opposed to the current private, for-profit system."
Most Americans favor importing lower cost drugs: "A March 2004 AP poll, for instance, showed that two-thirds of Americans favor making it 'easier for people to buy prescription drugs from Canada or other countries at lower cost.'"
Most Americans favor the government mandating higher fuel efficiency for cars: "... a 2004 Consumers Union poll found that 81 percent of Americans support the policy... the Sierra Club's 2004 polling finds more than three-quarters of Michigan voters support it - including 84 percent of the state's autoworkers."
Most Americans are against "free trade" and NAFTA: "... a January 2004 PIPA/University of Maryland poll found that 'a majority [of the American public] is critical of US government trade policy.' A 1999 poll done on the five-year anniversary of the North American trade deal [found] only 24 percent of Americans said they wanted to 'continue the NAFTA agreement.'"
Additionally, the latest polls show most Americans now believe the Iraq War is a mistake. And there are similar findings that a majority of Americans support Roe v. Wade and environmental protection.

It is imperative that Democrats effectively voice these positions, since they are shared by most Americans (many of whom mistakenly believe it is Republicans who hold these positions.)

It's not the message that is the problem, it's the messenger.

Liberals have no answers so their only alternative is to bash Bush. What do you think about the immigration problem? We don't know but we hate Bush. What should we do about better education? We don't know but Bush is an idiot. What should we do to keep America safe from terrorists? We don't know but Bush is a jerk. Come on Libs, give us some thoughts or solutions and maybe we'll listen and consider them. I am an Independent so give me something, anything, to think about. and maybe i'll vote for you.

Come on Shiraz-

They have a platform it's called the Anti-Bush, Anti- War agenda. I am afraid that a lot of people are uneducated enough to fall for the smoke screen.
