First of all, it's not fake. It's entertainment. Second, there would be no wrestling if all the moves were done stiff (hard) by everybody because everybody would have injured each other.

If the WWE did half the stuff they did in Japan, Vince would be shelling out big bucks for the FCC violations on moral decency and all that crap. How about having the ring ropes substituted with barbed wire for starters? That's just the appetizer.... it gets better and with all the blood spilled, the red cross would have no need to ask for donations........

Wrestling as sports entertainment has been around longer than any of us have been alive. It is one of our many forms of modern gladiatorial combat that we as a society have enjoyed in one form or another for centuries. Fake? Yes... but keep in mind... you have to be athletic and have some form of body armour to survive the impacts they take, so that does make them athletes. I throw stuntmen and women into that category too.

Yes it's done all safely, but there are injuries too. Take Kurt Angle's last televised match. That finally messed him up for good. Wrestling for wrestlings sake doesn't suck. Wrestling with an entertainment angle does suck if it is done wrong or if the ideas are so old and rehashed, there is mold at the bottom of the can.

If it was'nt fake it would be freestyle, greco roman, or olympic style wrestling and have alot more creditibility and true fans.

Going to a wrestling smackdown is like going to a movie. There is a script, everyone involved are actors, and doing what they are directed to do, and the winner is chosen or determined before the night even starts. It takes all the drama and reality out of it.

Wrestling has about as much creditibility, surprise, and fair play as HBO or SHOWTIME boxing.

The people who enjoy it are ignorant country bumpkins or hoosiers who dont know any better.

Pro wrestling isn't real wrestling in the first place. It has, for a long time, been a contrived form of entertainment. If you think real wrestling isn't entertaining, then you may be failing to appreciate the hard work and techniques therein. It's a matter of personal preferences, neither of which in this case are wrong.

It will still be entertaining but not suck. I'm sure if all the punches and stuff were real, then most of the wrestlers would need more time to recover from their injuries. The show must go on!

There's strong style in Japan where the wrestling is more stiff and it looks more real. WWE fans won't like it because it deals more with wrestling. Japan matches look more real than WWE.
