Which male and female is your favorite to win the U.S. Open and why?

My favorite male to win would be James Blake, but realistically i'd choose Federer (he's really good and likable). On the female side, I would choose Mauresmo because she's worked hard her entite career and deserves another title (It's her time!).

I like Blake and Federer a lot. I think Federer is in amazing form. Saw him live and wow hes a powerful player!
I think Wimbledon is a great tournament. I dont think the White clothing rule bothers or distracts me. As long as there are no naked players, Im fine.
Grass Court matches are interesting in their own way.

My favorite male is Federer and what is not to like about his amazing game? I really want to see a fierce battle on Sunday, hopefully against Roddick.
As for the females I like Sharapova for her mental toughness and style but she struggled a lot with her front strike last night and that can be lethal against someone like Mauresmo.

i hope andy roddick wins!!!!! i hope james blake takes out federer tonight! i would love to see both americans in the final!
for the females- i wanted lindsay davenport to win but shes out.... but i hope maria sharapova wins now!

i like nadal to win, but he lost... so i'll go with federer.... GO FEDERER!!!!! for the women's.... i'm stuck with mauresmo, sharapova, jankovic and henin-hardenne..... i like the 4 of them....
too bad that clijsters wasn't part of the us open
