Well starting over again is not a problem. Just because you did "it" again does not mean you have to give up on trying again! You need to find a better motivator. I know people who smoked their whole life. They finally get cancer and then they finally quit. There was finally repercussions for their actions and then they did something about it. But it was only when they realized they were not going to get away with it. Do you want that? I know it depends on your resolution and the gravity of not acting.
Bluntly, you think that this is not that big a deal so "forgetting" is not going to cause you are anyone else any real harm, for now. If so you would have taken action. Ask yourself "what will I lose if I continue this" is it your kids or a loved one, a dog or some kind of pet? Who will take care of them if you are gone? Who? You are important, you are a VIP to many people and things. So take care of yourself, because no one else will do it for you! Good Luck to you I hope this helps.

To get rid of a problem is to know it thoroughly. And you got it already as you've wrote. Then what remains? Only build a habit sticking to the point. Try this: Count down form 100 to 1 without making a mistake. When make a mistake start counting from 100 again. Be firmly resolved not to leave it until you get at 1. Easy... isn't it? Try this often. Soon you'll develop the habit of stick-to-it. Best of lucks. LoL.

I also face similar problems. Have you asked if it's possible that you are asking too much of yourself at once. If so, I suggest starting with baby steps, don't jump to something too big that you end up have trouble keeping, you'll have a harder time getting there. Secondly, if you forget your resolutions, write them down and look at them during breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can even program your cell phone or watch to remind you every so often!
Good Luck!

Try breaking the barrier by resisting the conventional thinking that fuels procrastination and results in your resolutions and plans to be immobilized. It has been hypothesized that procrastination is the arterial artery of anxiety, therefore, troubled feelings float in your subconscious and at times dominate your emotions. The first step would be to formulate a game plan by researching different strategies for overcoming procrastination, resolutely apply the ones you find suitable, and you may be able to overcome your situation ...

abhishek ji ,taking resolution is only like seeing dream
but for the comletion of dream you do not do anything that is the problem.go through the following programme
1)first of all analyse your dream how much time and efforts are required to accomplish it.
2)scientifically in our mind so many thought comes constantly.plan what are the thoughts are important to you for the accomplishment of your dream.
3)eliminate the unwanted thoughts which are not related to your dream.
4)for that purpose you have to cut off those things from the real life because only those things comes to mind through which you are related
5) follow the above things for one month then see that number of thoughts related to your dream or resolution are enhanced or not
6) if not then go to step1 again
if the number of thoughts related to your dream will be incresed then you will act for the dream
that is the way what i think

When you make a resolution share it with someone close to you and tell them you are serious about it. Tell them if you breach it, you may be punished (you may chose what punishment you want eg., pay Rs.100 for every breach of resolution). One of my friends asked for a slap for breaching the resolution! What is important is honouring your own word. Tell to yourself if you can't honour your own word how can you honour others? Hope this time you succeed! Good luck.

You need to discipline yourself. Set the rules that you want to live by. Write them down & place them so you see them everyday.
Put them in several places. Every chance you get read them. You will find yourself following them during the course of your day before you know it.
