People believe nature as God before they don't understand the nature.
People once pray thunder,fire etc.
So, the more we understand the nature the less believe in God

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Astrophysics. I consider myself to be pretty smart, scientifically and otherwise.

I am also a born-again Christian and have a solid belief in the triune God...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

For me, and a many, many other people in this world, science and God are not mutually exclusive. In fact, the more I learn about the universe the stronger my conviction in God becomes. For me, there has to be a creator that is behind all the beauty and complexity in everything - from the subatomic structure of atoms to the cosmological structure of the universe.

God and nature are not unrelated. Nature is the product of God's creative force. Being the inquisitive humans that we are, we try to analyze and break it all down into something we can understand and comprehend. We have been able to do this with quite a lot of natural processes. However, we will never fully know everything, not until we come face to face with God. See Romans 11:33-34.

God gave us all the ability to reason and question and investigate. But, it is all for naught if we fail to realize His power and importance in our lives. We must know and accept God above all other things. The rest will be revealed in due time.

The more we study the Universe, the more complex and precise it becomes. If a proton had just one millionth less mass, there would be NO Universe. If a God did exist, "he" did not have any choice in creating this Universe (unless he changes the laws as well).
So, thinking that God ("A" God) created the Universe is very hard to believe, and if "he" did it, just for us, seems extremely self-opinionated of our part.
No, the more I learn, the less I believe.
In fact, I do NOT believe anything! There are facts and non-facts.
A fact is undeniable: it is there. We may or may not understand it, but this is another matter. Non-facts... well, they don't exist!
There is no place for "belief" (or faith if you prefer).
Now I am not saying that God does not exist either! I just never found anyone who has a FACT on his (non-)existence...
Jesus IS a fact. That he was the son of God is not...

not a physicist, however things we learn from nature are observable and quantifiable, our belief in god relies primarily in faith or the absence of positive proof. It does seem that we are finding more and more incidents in the bible that may be attributed to actual events (the discovery channel). MHO

It is not possible for human to Understand what Our Creator is made of In terms of the frames of references in this Universe.. However It behoves every human to scientifically make a test and talk to Him and establish a relation ship with Him. He Will Hear You.

I believe it makes no change. The big mystery remains, i.e. why is the universe here, and why is it the way it is?

i've kinda realized that god and science are two opposite roads.. i've always been more of a logical thinker, so i think i'll stick to science.

yes, i've lost faith in god (faith, more appropriately) in the process..
