Quick summary: I was married at 18, widowed at 22, re-married at 23, abused for 10 years before I got the courage to divorce him. Vowed I'd devote the rest of my life to raising my son, & being a nurse. No room for love or romance...
Then this man comes along out of nowhere, & I fell in love. We live together now; and I feel so silly!!! After two years, I get butterflies in my stomach, still, when I know he's coming home. The thought of kissing him, hugging him, sitting on the couch watching a movie w/ him....same feeling. It's like I'm 12 years old again, with my first crush!!
I'm a 36 yr. old professional w/ a 9-yr. old son! Not some middle school kid!! LOL!! But that's what I feel like!
I love feeling like this, but I also get skeptical sometimes.
Anyone else ever felt this way?!

Absolutely!
I'm 32 now, but I was also married ar 18, right out of high school, but I divorced my ex after four years of marriage because he was very abusive. I got sick of having the crap beat out of me on almost a daily bases, so I finally left.
I dated some nice guys, but I swore I would never allow myself to get that close to anyone again. Well, not only did I surprise myself by falling totally in love with someone, but it was only a year after my divorce. Anyway, I did marry him, and here we are nine years later with four beautiful children, and I still melt when he walks into a room! And You know what? I still have my moments where I look at him and wonder if it's too good to be true! I never thought it was possible to love anyone as much as I love him, and I never dreamed of someone loving me the way he does. He has truly been a blessing in my life.
Just enjoy that you have this great guy, and that you're happy. You obviously have been through your share of hell, and you deserve this! Sounds like he is pretty wonderful....Yeah! And just because you're 36 doesn't mean you can't be head over heals in love, and get all AWWWWWWWW when he walks in the room!
