Baby, I don't need a bed of roses...

All I really need...is you
to take me as I am

So come with me now
sail across the oceans with me
beyond the horizon
into the night sky
just me and my baby
together
underneath
the same moon
and somewhere
over the rainbow

come sail away with me, my love

Take my hand

Take me as I am

I remember one day we were in the car on a busy highway and he pulls the car over out of the blue and runs like a crazy man across all the traffic- I thought for sure he would get hit! He came back with the most beautiful wild flowers that he had just picked on the side of the road- and said" I saw them and I wanted u to have something as beautiful as you are" totally melted my heart!

My fiance has given up a lot of things for me (material, etc.) The most beautiful thing he has done for me, is relocating. He moved from his home...in Ohio, to be with me in Mississippi. Also, he promised when he gets home again (military), which I hope will be soon, we'll watch Tristan and Isolde. I've got the movie waiting for him! He also promised to take me salsa dancing, well lessons! :) lol He holds me when I sleep and he's very protective of me. I think it's so sweet...he also cooks for me, as he is teaching me to cook too (I don't know how!) He's Italian and makes some great Italian dishes! I'll never be that good, after all...he's got it in his blood! :)

Hire someone to clean the house so that an OCD gal could get a break. Then take me to The Madonna Inn (in California) and make passionate love to me in every room according to the theme. Then fly me and the kids to England to see Alan Rickman's new Play.

The most romantic thing a woman could do for me, would probably not be considered romantic. So long as she makes me feel that I was the only man before her, her Fabriche egg, her pot of gold bullion, or Lamborghini, the reason why she can't wait to wake up in the morning. That IS really the top thing romantic she can do for me. More then wearing a mini, doing a strip tease, hot bubble bath, a lap dance, breakfast in bed, back rubs, swallowing, giving up the back door pink, or the wildest sex I ever had.

As a man, I don't need to be romanced. We're simple and easily thrilled by the long list of physical (to remain unnamed) acts. Once married these acts become less frequent and more brief out of necessity(children and such). The best intimacy men get after marriage is usually brought on by our continuing interest in our mate and romancing them!
Therefor I believe the most romantic thing my wife could do for ME is to either book a hotel room or set the kids up somewhere else for an evening and be very physical ESPECIALLY when I have been busy and perhaps not remembered to surprise her w/ flowers, chocolate, or jewelry for a while.
It's not the sex as much as the fact that I may not have deserved her love given so freely at the time she chose to do it. Does that make any sense?

I love it when he hugs me and tells me just why he loves me... reminding me that he loves more than just my body, he loves my heart and soul...

Particularly if I'm not feeling terribly loveable at that moment (that time of the month or something)...

There's a great book called the Five Love Languages; I highly recommend it. My primary language is Words of Affirmation, his is Acts of Service- so he gets a thrill when I bring him breakfast in bed or some such. We've each learned how to speak the other's language so that we're understood...

To be allowed to cook a great meal for her. All she needs to do is look feminine or sexy, provide some witty or playful conversation, show a little appreciation of my culinary skills and finally, above all...not point and laugh.
