Hi- I planning to go for 3 as my mobile network when I move to the UK next week. The offer is too good for the first 6 months i get and pay half i.e. £15 a month, get 600 free minutes, 2000 text message free, after that it would go to £30, 300 mins and 1000 text. Also for life I get free web browsing and MSN. But, some of my friends in the UK are saying its crap, some saying they have used it for 2 yrs and go for it. The offer and price plan looks good + n its got 14 days money bk gaurantee http://threestore.three.co.uk/offerdetails.aspx?offercode=18DS14OL83) this is the link to the tariff. Should I go for it or should i go for O2, even though its more expensive. Please advice. Thanks.

Hmm, 3 is ok, coverage isnt the best but it depends where you are, 3 is actually kinda too good to be true, this was my offer;

1200 mins
600 txts
£5 for downloads
50 MMs
50 Video mins

well for the first six months, after that i can downgrade it, 3 is actually ok, the offers and deals are great , my honest advise is get the offer and see how it goes with coverage, my 3 deal is really good though plenty of mins + texts and even some money to use for downloads, i recomend it, try it.

PERFECT!!!...It seems so many people give answers and have little or no experience...You will find that one rates the performance of the phone to the wireless provider...not the phone makes...Meaning...if you gor for the cheap to midrange phone, YES you are going to get poor to medium performance... However, get a good phone 100bps or up, you will be fine. I have been using tmobile UK and tmobile us for the past three years and LOVE THEM!!!, but use 3 as a backup...I had orange, but tmobile out performs them...Make sure you get a good phone that supports highspeed internet. I am using a prerelease p990i, and i hit 1mb download at times and videocall without a problem all the time. So go with tmobile and get a sony ericsson or Windows Mobile based phone...

I would go with Orange. They have a reliable 3G network and they have very good plans. They also used to match other plans that companies offer. So go to them and tell them what 3 are offering and they should match it.

Orange also have a 14day money back guarantee and much nicer phones.

There is no doubt that 3 have great plans, that is how they get their customers. but they are very unreliable.
