Hi, i used to use a hot water bottle, but now i use them heat patches, you can get cheap ones for like £1,99, all i do is put them where it hurts and there you go free to move and still have heat on the move if you have pain in the back also you can attach one to there too, the heat lasts 12 hours. I found walking also helps just keep busy. or lie on the floor and crunch you legs up to your tummy i do this in bed when it hurts. Also make sure you have anytype of pain killers. If you havent tried soluble paracetamol they is worth it as they get to the paiin qucker than regular paracetamol.
The other way is going on the pill this really helps with cramps, the first pill i was on, i did have a weeks bleed but i never hardly got any cramps if i did they werent painfull and i never got emotional or tired. But at the moment im on a different pill and i dont have a period so i get none of the above. It is so worth it as i have really bad pains and i cant stand it. But it depend on what you prefer. If they are really bad, go to the doctors.

Gentle exercise, stretching, hot baths and hot water bottles help for me. When I was younger my periods were so painful I went on the contraceptive injection to stop them. If they are very painful, talk to your doctor as he may be able to help.
