I am trying to buy a setof steps for my patio but, the place I called said to get a 6ft wide step I would have to use a riser and I want to see what it looks like before I go and buy it

a riser is just a piece of wood on a staircase.If you we're standing on your bottom step...the "riser" would be the piece of wood at the end of your toes that goes vertically up to the next step.I could draw it for you if this isn't clear enough,"riser" is just a construction term,like...rafter,tread,eave,etc...

Lowes has their concrete steps outdoors on their property. I can see a 6 ft wide step-- would be safer over all, or you could connect a hand rail.
