See if you can "challenge" the course, which means you take a test. If you do well on that test, that becomes your grade.
It's equivalent to taking a course, as far as your transcript.
I THINK.
But this is the proposal you should take to the relevant department head, or prof, or Dean, or whoever. Perhaps start with talking to the prof of the course you got an A in. They'll be likely to want to help such a good student in such a reasonable cause.
Certainly, don't just leave it, or even take a D.
BTW, what you should have done at the time is to have taken an incomplete. Then all you would have had to do is finish the course requirements.

You have the rite to appeal the grade and have it amended to a D on the basis that your circumstance justifies the change.
Unless you deserve an F?
go straight to the deean of the Psych dept.
if he won'y work with you? "escallate" it to the
person aqbove him(or her)
They cannot deny you access to their supperior
is it a lot more work than you'd like? FOR SURE!
wILL IT BE WORTH THE EFFORT?
Without a doubt.

Well since u've taken the course u cannot have it removed from ur transcript because a transcript is meant to reflect as many courses as u've taken and ur results.anyway u should be happy u had an A in the psychology 202 so that has increased ur g.p from wat it would have been if u had anything less than an A

Find out if your college has an academic forgiveness policy. (As in I don't know what you're talking about. I never took this class.) It will be removed from your transcript and bring your GPA back up.

at my university we had a chance to repeat a course one time in order to get a passing grade. Speak with your registrar office, find out what the procedures are, and retake the exact same course next time it's offered.

Most academic issues are subject to petition to the Dean of the College for this sort of equitable relief--ask at the Dean's office.

Exactly. You answered you're own question. Transcripts are not credit reports. You just can't "remove" bad marks.
