I've been to the USA dozens of times and have always seen their country's flag flying from many homes and what I've been wondering is how many other countries fly their country's flag?
Now I'm talking about either flying it in front of, or on your house or having a flag visible from the street, say in a window. You don't have to explain why you do or don't fly it....all I'm wondering is....do you?
Americans can answer but I would really like people from other countries to weigh in. I already know Americans fly their flag quite a bit.
Please answer yes or no and tell me what country your from.
I'm from Canada and yes, I do fly my country's flag.

I live just a few hours away from Vancouver.
You can move here anytime you want, we would love to have you here in beautiful British Columbia.

I do not fly America's flag even though I am American. I live in Nevada. I was flying the Canadian Maple Leaf flag, but recently switched to the British Columbia flag. It really pisses off my neighbors, but I don't care because I would rather be living in Canada.

I visited Vancouver for the first time this year and would give up my citizenship in a heartbeat to become Canadian. I am so tired of all the political BS here, the paranoid culture, and general rudeness of most Americans. I fly the Canadian flags with pride!

PS: What part of Canada are you from?

PSS: Some day... I will live in B.C., but I plan to run the Vanouver marathon next year in May.

I'm American and I don't fly the flag. It doesn't make me love the country any less because I don't fly it. I just don't have a flag pole. :)

What's truly sad is that before 9/11 happened several years ago, almost NOBODY flew the flag. (Businesses and government offices did, of course, but I mean private citizens didn't as a rule.) Suddenly when the towers were hit, all these rainy day patriots came out of the woodwork and started flying flags at home, on their car windows, flag bumper stickers, flag shirts, etc. I'm sorry, but if you love your country THAT much, why are you just NOW flying our flag?

I am ashamed to say that I do not fly my country's flag but I should. Countless people have sacrificed their lives for both popular and unpopular causes. We all need to recognize them by raising our flag.

USA. I have a picture from the newspaper and it is taped to my front door, visible from the street. It is there day and night. Thank you military people for our freedom.

U.K.

No. I don't understand this flag-worship that some people go in for. It just baffles me, I'm afraid.
