Dane Cook isn't the funniest comedian of the century, but from the past 5-10 years he is the best.

Dane Cook is nowhere near the funniest comedian this century. Think about how many GREATS there are...Cosby, Seinfeld, Pryor, Marx, Foxworthy etc. These guys have had long careers...Cook is just starting.

His material isn't that funny honestly...its all in his delivery. Which is a talent, but to be truly great, he needs both. Seriously, Cook is the best of what is a mediocre crop of comedians.

I doubt this answer gets picked, but I am assuming you are too young to remember some of the comedians listed above. Check them out.

Yeah he's funny and I own his CD's and I watched his show on HBO and I've been to his shows and he's great!...but the funnies comedian of the century?? There are so many funny comedians out there you can't have just one for the whole century. There are more comedians out now then there have ever been. Sure there are many that bomb and have really crappy jokes *cough*Jay Davis*cough* but with all the great comedians out there...

...I can't pick just one

I guess its a matter of opinion, I would say no, but he's pretty funny and would be on a top 10 list though.
