North and West Legalize?

Question

What are your thoughts on the legalization of Cannabis/Marijuana in CA, MA, NY, and PA.
Currently we are on the verge of legalization due to the fact that Cannabis is safer than alcohol and tobacco. All of our states our decriminalized, statistics and laws provided by NORML.

Please only answer if you are a northerner or a Californian, and list your state next to your answer.

I think they should legalize marijuana in california(that is where I am from) You never hear any storys about people killing people while being stoned or any accidents. I think marijuana helps a lot of people. Put it this way if everyone started getting stoned I think we would have a lot more peace. Montel uses it and he has MS he said that was the best thing for him. Alcohol which is legal kills people everyday. Cigarettes are more dangerous than marijuana. Anyway this is a really touchy situation for me. I say LEGALIZE IT!

i'm all for it (and from CA).... i think it's ridiculous that people get to kill themselves legally with cigarettes and alcohol, the 2 most deadly drugs out there, meanwhile jails are overcrowded because people get arrested for a little pot

I think it would be a good thing.

Marijuana isn't that bad. Its about the same as smoking. Unless you miss use it, like everything else it can be harmful but under the right usage, its not bad.

i'm from NY and i DON"T want it to be legal, i really don't want my kids busdrivers/teachers high while my children are in there care, are you crazy? i remember in high school how kids would come in high, they were a mess!
