Not in my town i guess. I wish i could just meet a genuinely sweet, gentle, compassionate guy that has long hair and the same "hippy" mentality that i do!

Having been a red hot hippie back in the '70s, I don't remember any one being genuine about anything but dropping out. We wandered around dirty because we didn't have anywhere to live thus no place to clean up. The clothes we wore were not so much a fashion as they were simply all we could find at the Salvation Army. Our only ambition was getting high and very casual sex. And, the only reason us guys wore long hair was that it pissed off the establishment. All the crap about peace and love stemmed from the fact that everybody was too loaded to get up and a s s and themselves. There really wasn't much about us to even suggest a future. Find yourself somebody with passion and a political agenda and make him let his hair grow out, at least you'll eat.

Many musicians from local rock bands will usually have their hair long, especially if they're playing classic rock.

There's an awful lot of them in Homer, Alaska. You just have to look in places where they hang out (liberal colleges, etc).
