It isn't the person it's the theology of hatred by the Radical sects of Islam. Wahhabism embraces the Koran's mandate that all non believers are not human. Other radical sects, under the guise of a Jihad defend murdering those they view as prostelytizing. Having lived in Kuwait and Turkey I have many Arab friends, Kurdish, Shi'ite and Sunni who are not radical and understand that peace through tolerance is far better. However the minority of those dedicated to the elimination of non-believers (Christian, Jew, Buddhist and Hindu) incite the need for self defense. Once you have convinced your counterparts that tolerance of other religions and women's right are imperative over the determination to live under a Caliph in 16th century standards you will have greater harmony throughout the world.
