I thought it was GREAT! It's kind of slow, but only because the main character of the story is a dark, depressed almost hermit like man, who has a crappy job and hates his life, but somehow ends up writing a very popular underground comic. I thought it was very well acted. His depressed and half crazy girlfriend is great. And even as he gets more famous and starts to make more living, he's still the same moody gloomy guy from the start of the movie. He hates the fame as much as everything else. The whole thing is hilarious in a sad kind of way. And the interviews with the Man that the character is based on are great.
Instant Cult classic if you ask me. Not very well known, but a good movie.

This is a super movie, lots of fun---and the dvd "extras" commentary is great, too.
