Australian band 'Mental As Anything' were pretty much a one-hit-wonder outfit, with "Live it up" peaking at #3 in 1987. . I'm afraid that's all I know about the band!.
Update : According to an Australian viewer of this site (retrobaby25), "Mental as anything is arguably one of the best pub bands ever...they have recently released their 20th anniversary album and have many excellent songs. try kazaa and download a few and you'll see what i mean my personal fave 'if you leave me can i come too?'"
