i hired a lawyer on august 15, 05 for a case in court. the court gave me a delayed sentence and told me to appear in court on august 15,06. i missed that date. does the lawyer have any type of responsibility to make sure u come to court?

no all they want is the money and you need to ask another lawyer if the right thing is being done cause most are just money hungry

No, it is your responsibility. I've never been in that position and, although I'd think a good lawyer would remind a client of a court date, to give the attorney some leeway, the dates was a year apart.

If you don't know what day it is, maybe you need counseling or assisted living, not a lawyer.

no, it is yours. Usually your attorney will send a reminder letter to you. Mine did.
