Its not thick it should be clear fluid constantly leaking from you and you can't stop the flow OK..... I doesn't feel like peeing because there is no muscle involved with it, it doesn't smell either and their might be little white floaties in it thats just the stuff that makes the baby soft thats in the amniotic fluid.

If you figured out that its not pee and it is your water breaking. Go to the labor and delivery,

Back when I was pregnant the doctors told me that if I thought I might have a tear in my sack, that would cause a small leak, then I should put a pad in my panties. Then if you wait and I know it sounds gross but after some time you should be able to check your pad and know for certain whether its urine or amniotic fluid. I believe if you fill a pad in less than 2 hours you need to get checked with the doctors to make sure you aren't losing too much. Congrats on the baby! Good luck with everything!

RE:
How can I tell if I am starting to leak amniotic fluid?

Actually, you might not know. I had this happen to me. I kept noticing that my panties got wet and I used some pantie liners. I had no idea, because I had been told that discharge was normal. This was thinner and watery. It happened for about a week. I went for a routine ultrasound and they found that the fluid around my baby was lower than expected. I was induced into labor the next day. The only way to be sure is to have a doctor or nurse check you. But if it is really watery, I would suggest that you not wait, call your doctor right away. Luckily, my daughter is fine but low fluid levels can cause problems. It scares me that I had no idea at all!

Your panties will be wet even though you did not pee. If you think you are, go into the dr or hospital and they will do a paper test to see if you are. They test the liquid on a strip of paper and it turns a certain color if it is amniotic fluid.

The doctor can test your leaking fluid w/ nitrous paper not possitive that is what the paper is called but the doctor can test it that easily to tell you if you are discharging, leaking urine or amniotic fluid.

feel of the fluid. It will feel slippery and slimy. It can start leaking and then stop for a while. You need to contact your doctor. He may want you to come on in or wait a little while before coming in.

I had a leak with my first child. I had been lying down and a few minutes after getting up, I felt a gush, I knew it wasn't urine (smelt it to be sure). The doc sent me home. Then a day or two later it happened again. They kept me in and decided to induce me just in case.

If you see unexplained fluid/wetness, it could be just dampness in your panty, a little trickle, or even a little gush, depends. You cannot control the fluid like you do pee, it just comes out.

You will feel like you have to pee constantly, or that you are having a hard time controlling your bladder.
