I don't think it's wrong. The idea is to encourage people to answer, so that those who ask can choose among answers.
In total, you loose as many points on asking as you get in answering, and there are other ways to get point, so I think the system is rather fair.

It would seemed to me that it takes more thought to ask a question then answering a question. So yes, I believe it is wrong. Hey, at least I score a few for answering this question!

Of couse not ,it is not wrong at all because yahoo wants to encourage us to answer more questions to be able to ask and that is very beneficial for people because by that way the answer people's questions and they gain lots of information about anything they want.

If it didn't cost you points, you'd ask pointless questions. Or nobody would answer questions... You also get bonus points awarded for being the best answer...

no, otherwise people would just endlessly post stupid questions to rile people up. Besides, the points aren't really good for anything (sort of like on "Who's Line...) so what does it matter...
