Who is the better Lois? Erica Durnace(Smallville) of Kate Bosworth(Superman Returns)?

I like Erica cause she's hot and she plays the whole Lois persona perfectly. A woman who talks a lot, never backs down, and stand up for her herself as well as the little guy.

I feel that Erica Durance makes the better Lois Lane. Although she is not the star reporter in Smallville, she is as tough and tenacious as I feel Lois should be. Erica's Lois is a go-getter who strives to get what she wants, but has enough heart to help those around her. She is spunky, but caring. She also has her flaws. I see this Lois becoming that star reporter. To me, Kate Bosworth's Lois didn't quite have the spunk and determination I though she should. Maybe motherhood mellowed her out in Superman Returns, but I really don't think that should. I go with Erica.

For the record, my favorite Lois Lane portrayal was Teri Hatcher in Lois and Clark. She was the right mixture of attitude and determination, especially in the first two seasons. I would love to see a Lois and Clark follow-up movie someday, although I doubt that would happen.

Although both women played the role of Lois Lane wonderfully, I think that Erica Durnace (Smallville) played the better Lois Lane because she makes that character feel strong and confident. She is the reason why ALL women should stick up for themselves and never let anyone, including men, put her down.

Are you kidding? Erica Durance by a long shot. They should have used her in Superman Returns and just did the makeup to add the necessary amount of years. They would have made a whole lot more money that way.

I think it's unfair to compare one actor to another. Each person contributes to the character in their own little way and provide multiple aspects to make the character more well-rounded. To say one person got it right and the other got it wrong is a discredit to the actors, since all of them are taking pieces of themselves and producing the character in a different light. However, were I to choose, I'd say Erica, since I've yet to figure out why the hell Kate took her shoes off before flying with Superman. What? Were they going to fly off her feet, or something? They never did before! And black toenail polish--UGH! Black make-up doesn't make anyone look any better.
