You never forget a person, they will always be a part of you. But in time, you find that you can talk about times that you used to share with the person etc. They will be in your heart forever. It's harder at first to think how you can carry on in life w/o them, but as time goes on, the sorrow will lift and you will be able to carry on.

I was a senior in high school, and my uncle died right before my graduation. We were very, very close. I didn't want to go to my prom or graduation. Even though he wasn't there in the natural, I know that he saw me fulfill his dream for my life. Now, I can talk about him and all of the fun things we used to do together. I still miss him and I visit his grave often. At first I would cry but it's better now.

So again, you never forget; but in time you will be able to go on.

i dont think that we ever forget but the memories get a lot easier with time. my philosophy is always remember the good times as i am sure that anyone who is departed would not wish you to be sad. but why would you want to forget them if they have been such a very special part of your life, the love you have for that person was special and still is and as much as they are gone there love will always be with you.

im soo sorry but you can not forget someone that died. but you must go on with life and remember the good times and be gratful you had the time with them. remember one thing they are never that far away. so i have been told. it helps me. and sometimes i talk to them when no one is around. also i think that is why people go to the cematary to talk to them. im sorry for your loss. take care and get moving and live. you dont have to forget them.

There is no way we can forget them.. But the pain will eventually fade and time will set you free from it..
But to forget is not.. We always remember them and pray for them on their death anniversary and even on their birth dates..

Whenever you remember them,, remember the happy moments you have with them.

you can't forget you just learn to live with it, it always hurts but it gets less painfull, eventually you just concentrate on the nice things and the good times you shared, i still miss my mum and dad, my mum died 12 years ago and my dad died 3 years ago but i now draw comfort by thinking about the nice things we shared, good luck
