Do you want them to do their own logs? If so, create one, and they can have someone where they visit...say receptionist sign off when they are there...date, time, sales, deliveries...etc...depends on what type of sales etc..what they do etc...

Manually, for that few people might still work, but ideally use a software program,

If you have your salespeople all use the same software, something simple like outlook, act, maximizer, most of these can be networked, with indiviual access paswords, some of these will allow you to create automatic follow up plans, so that the whole monitoring thing becomes somewhat redundant, as long as you train the sales people to work from and on the computer with each and every contact they make and have ready made follow up activities set up.

Maximizer has some templates for various industries set up, so right out of the box, it may already have everything you want.

There are many many different 3rd party software developers writing special applications for Outlook and act, so, check out the web, and I am sure that you will find something where you do not have to re-invent the wheel, and is easy to train to your team.

Good Luck
