Your old hard disk does not contain the boot information for your new computer. Your BIOS and Jumper configuration might be correct, but your computer also needs the boot info, which contains information on how to start the devices attached to your machine and this is not stored on your hard disk if you transfer it to another computer with a different configuration. Reinstalling Windows should fix the problem.

Did the new machine boot properly before you put the other hard drive in? Are the operating systems the same? Are the hard drives the same type such as SATA or IDE?
Try changing the old drive to be the slave and see if it works. Too many variables to give you a good answer.

Recheck the jumpers make sure the old one you want to boot from is set to master with slave and other is set to slave , I have done this a million times and it should work, again make sure you have master with slave and not just master or single

set your T2542 Hard disk as the first boot priority on your bios. but there is a problem when you use your t2542 HD to your t3504 pc, you need to install all the drivers for all the peripherals, worst is you need to reinstall your OS. I recommend you to use the default HD for your T3504 pc and make your t2542 HD as the slave for you to access the data you have on the said HD.

Is your computer (Bios) recognizing the drive when booting? There is normally a list of detected drives displayed during the initial boot.
