My sister has not attended college, and is quite successful in her career. She's been at the same company for about 18 years and has climbed the corporate ladder. She has a major problem, though. She has to stay in that company. If she were to apply at another company, her lack of education would prevent her from being hired into a position as high as the one she currently has. If her company folds, she's out of luck.

I use to work at a coffee shop before i became a massage therapist. I really think if you have a college degree you can earn more money. To answer your question yes you can, but it will take long time to grow. For instance at a coffee shop i earnd $8.00 dollars an hour to start. Then when i start working as a therapist to start i earnd $30.00, so life is easy if you have a college degree even if you don't use it.

My sister has her own graphic arts firm and no college education. She just has a talent for graphics and took a couple of courses on software, started working freelance, then eventually built her clientele up and now has a company with about 10 employees. They all do really well.
