No- anytime that you actually have an infection, you need the antibiotics and you shouldn't prolong it because it will become more sever and lead to other problems.

If your doctor has prescribed antibiotics then you should take them as directed even if you gain relief from symptoms soon after beginning. Otherwise, you may not have killed all of the bacteria which is causing your sinus infection.
However, if your sinus infection is not caused by a bacteria (and tests can be done to determine this) then do not take antibiotics because they won't do you any good.

It may be possible but it's not quick and effective.
The only alternative that might work is flushing the sinuses with saline. Check you local drugstore for "Ocean" or a generic of it.
What you have to do is squirt the saline up your nostril while inhaling through the nose deeply. This is very uncomfortable and unpleasent to do.
In fact my doctor recommends you do the antibiotics and the saline. I had a sinus infection last Spring and I only did the antibiotics and I got relief after 2 or 3 days with the antibiotics, but you need to take them for the full 10 days to ensure you kill the entire infection.

Not sure, but....Caring for your nose and your teeth is the most helpful thing to do in order to prevent at least the effect and occurrence of a sinus infection. So if you are afraid to encounter such terrible sickness…love your whole body that is the least thing to do!
