Try something non-chat, where more of their friends are at... MySpace (It's really not as unsafe as people claim it to be, you just have to monitor whats going on there). Collect MSN, Yahoo, and AIM addresses and build lists up using those three programs.

A kid between 13 and 16 should not be sitting online all day. They should be outside getting fresh air and hanging out with their friends. Things like this are what makes American's so fat and lazy.
