It can happen right after you stop the birth control, or it could take up to a year. It just depends on your body.

I took birth control for 4 years and quit just like you before I was getting married. I quit taking it in January the year I got married and in October I found out I was pregnant. So I think it takes somewhere between 3 and 12 months to be fully out of your system.

Technically after the estrogen has left your system. With the patch is about 2-3 months.
Realistically...I would act as if your could become pregnant right away.

It should happen pretty quick. If you are not pregnant within a year, go see your doctor. After a year there could be other issues in the way of you conceiving.

It would benefit you to wait until after getting married to have a baby. First, is because the social stigma. Second, you really don't want your baby to start crying at the ceremony. Third, you won't have to worry about post baby weight and losing it to get into a great gown. Fourth, its hard to plan a wedding adding a baby to that will drive you crazy.

I knew a lady who was on the pill for ten years and she got pregnant within the year of coming off it. Good Luck.
