Love them or hate them...they are destroying this country. Public schools continue to slide while billions each month are shipped off to Iraq. Gas prices have soared under the Oil Party's watch..go figure. How can we take this country back. Even those who ignorantly support the GOP are damaged by their policies.

When you go to the pump..there is no liberal or democrat price..and then conservative right wing price..nope..we all get screwed at the pump. When public schools slide..there is no nice school for cons and a bad school for libs..we all suffer at the same poor schools.

Liberal Democrats need to take back the party and campaign on liberal issues like Education, Health Care, Environment, Jobs, and yes even Foreign Policy. They need to have an agenda.
Problem is that there arent enough Liberals left in the party. The Dems left are afraid to take on the Repubs. They are a bunch of sniveling cowards and I am considering going independent. Becuase if they wont be different then the Repubs they are no better.

If you want real change, then stop looking for blame except in the mirror. Policy from Washington is only going to help the lobbyists. We aren't being properly represented in government any longer and this has been going on for decades. I believe that it started when politicians got the idea that they were smarter than us and began to try to convince us that they were the only ones that knew what to do. You want change? Fight for what's right. Don't let anyone tell you that your taxes can pay for someone to sit on their honkus and do nothing. Don't let the government pay for someone to 'be an artist' until the children in our schools are learning to read and write - ALL of them. And, don't let the government tell you that anything is true until they show you all the evidence. Never believe anyone that equates volume to accuracy. If something is true, you're confident about it, right? If you're confident, you don't have to shout someone down that disagrees with you. The evidence will make them look like a fool. You can hold your head high, knowing that the truth is on your side.

I've been a Dem all my life but, sadly, we have turned on each other. I want the love of diversity that use to be central to the left wing. I miss it. Now we sound just like them. "be like us and agree with everything we say or you're wrong." Until we get it together nothing will change and the GOP will run the world. The trick is to find a way to argue that doesn't include name calling. Then we sound just like them.

As you're pointing out, the Republicans are doing a dandy job of defeating themselves. In addition, Democrats must offer a clear plan of action instead of - vote for me, I'm not responsible for the mess.
It would also be nice if they could form some plan to bring political debate back to politics instead of "values". Isn't there some way to say "What my neighbor does is none of my business" without making conservatives brand you as a liberal trying to destroy marriage and corrupt children?

We need to vote them out and write our representatives to let them know we will not vote for them again unless they hold this incompetent administration accountable for it's mistakes! Also we have to break the TOTAL MYTH that we are weak on national defense. Funny how the Republican party are packed with cowardly chicken hawks, while the Dems include the greater amount of veterans (Max Clelland for instance, anyone who proports to support our troops should be totally outraged how this distingushed veteran was abused by the Republicans, they even abused McCain to gain power)!

Just talk about Iraq. It's their most glaring and dismal failure. Also healthcare, every year they are in charge the heathcare situation gets worse.
The only people that say that republicans and democrats are the same ARE REPUBLICANS!

Vote. But as long as there is a two party system people will continue to vote for the least offensive candidate. What makes anyone think replacing Republicans with Democrats will make any difference. Both parties are out for themselves and dedicated to crafting designer legislation to payback their corporate and special interest sponsors.

It's neither Republicans nor Democrats that are destroying the country. It's the practice of "old boy" polititcs in Washington and everyone is guilty of it.

Just let Bush talk, he will turn out more democrats by just speaking. People that can think for themselves are getting wise to George Bush and exposing him for what he is and that is a coke snorting, alcoholic with no morals.
