The only advantage to buying a PC with a floppy drive is that you will have one since you say you would still like to have one.
Makes sense, eh?
You can either get an external one(preferred since you can use it on different PC's) or you can get an internal one.

About the only pro I can see to an internal floppy drive is greater protection from accidental damage to the drive itself; something that is easily negated by spending a little extra for a better grade external floppy drive... Oh, wait, you're meaning Floppy vs USB drives. USB Flash drives have greater storage capacity, are more cost effective, and are normally just a better deal.
That said, if you need legacy compatability -- old software, working with computers that don't have USB ports -- floppies are a workable alternative.
If you're buying a new computer, I'd suggest a multi-format memory card reader instead of the internal floppy -- a cheaper option with the two "major name" online computer retailers -- and then spending about $10-30 for an external USB Floppy drive.

U are absolouetly rite. Now branded computer comes without floppy drive and is not available in the future.
But as u know one can store pwd, file restoration dets, partition manager safe files can be stored in the floppy drive.
In case if u want to recover ur lost pwd u need a floppy drive.
When u buy the floppy drive, there will be no use for u,and when u not buy it there comes some use i.e Nature.
Now a floppy is very cheap and it is better to own it rather buying in the future.
The decision is urs and i think it all depends on what u are doing with u r computer. If it is for personal use i don't think that u need a FDD.

The only advantages of using an onboard floppy is that you save a little bit of room and it may and I stress may work a little quicker because the controller is built in and you do not have to go through the USB controller and port

There not much advantage in buying a computer with floppy disk drive unless it is a old computer(pre-2000 era). Since now you can boot OS installation from cd-rom

It's nice if you have to use computers at school/work that don't have USB ports. Other than that, practically useless. If there's any old software/drivers on floppy disks that you think you may ever need to use again, then you should copy them to CDs.
