You mean the term, "she was a sex symbol" or the actual symbol representing each sex? If your asking as sex symbol for famous people, such as Marilyn Monroe, Id say its based on she was known for her beauty, her body etc. Men lusted after her and she'll always be known for her looks ..etc.its hard to answer, but I think you get my drift, if Im even answering the correct question. Im not really sure just what your asking..?
