I'm a fast learner. On the first day I brought home the guitar, I picked up the chromatic scale. I'm cursed because I bore easily. So yesterday I taught myself a song.

Learn whatever songs that interest you. I can't agree with the people who are saying MCR or Creed or Korn because really, they're not that great of musicians. You can always go back to the classics of Led Zep, Aerosmith, Hendrix and Clapton, but you should really do what interests YOU. Whatever you do though, practice practice practice. And if you get really bored, pick up some Steve Vai CDs, they'll keep you busy.

MCR songs AFI songs Creed songs Korn songs any other rock, emo, Alturnitve, Punk, Heavy Metal.
But if u just got ur guitar u should practice how u play and ur learing like srings and topnes not just play it unless u alreay know how to play guitar then just practice any of those songs above =D
