It is tough because you have to figure out what you are going to do with your life. Are you going to go to college to get a degree? Or are you going to find a job some place? If you decide to go to college, where are you going to go? If you are going to get a job, where is it going to be? What skills do you have to offer?

So yes, in some ways it is difficult. But once you make this decision, it gets a lot easier.

Yes, I do think that the 20's are hard. I made some regrettable mistakes in my 20's. Things that you can't take back. Looking back I'd have to say that the root cause was immaturity. Just not enough life experience 'under my belt' to deal with the myriad of new experiences and emotions.

Only when your going thru military boot and advanced training! Actually I completed boot when I was 17 so I had a jump on so many others!
