US is not India . in US the government officials are really public servants. In india they are , including the last grde servants , are KINGS. Just go to a collector's office in Tamil nadu.You can enjoy some fun, if the collector happens to come out of his roomn to go somewhre ,immediately his duffadar will run ahead of him driving people go to keep off the maharajah's path as some ggreat Dictator is arrivng in a processin. The funis that thos e educatd fellows called collectors enjoy the fun like clowns in this modern days even after independence .
This is the vestige of the broken steel frame of the british emnpire . these fellow have not yet forgotten. You can not call any officer by his m=name however puny he is . In the US you can call th president by his name and he would not be offended as he knows his name is not bad or eveilbut in Inid acall any officer by name . Immediately you will caught by misfortuen as it is devils who are working as officers and devils name if mentioned will bring misfortuen only to any one . In Inida people have beennaming the children after the names of gods with the intention that if and when one calls the child / person byy his m=anme it will have the efect of bringing the blessings of God .But the educated fellows think that to call them by their won name even if the name is of the God is offensive and will bring misfortuen to any one who calles him by that name .evben God's name if given to devils and satqns will bring inmisfortuen only .the funny partiof it is that they think that their respect /honour will be diminished if they are called by their names. In the entire universe you can not see such a barbaric group of people who think that their name is so bad amd would destroy their opwn honour and respect if uttered by some body and they are calling themselves as reformists and rationalists. irrational people in modern times.In india slson you see officials have personal peons and office peons and domestic peopns and officers think tha ti is demeaning to carry their own files ,just as think that it is demeaning to do their own work. they do have domestic peons also for what god only knows .The slavish mentality these people acquired during the british regime taught by the british masters is deeply ingrained in the blood of the inidans and they still feel like slave sonly . So to cover it up that feeling they want to put up a show like kings . they call thmselves public servants. It means the public are their servants - it is an irony.
If you go to an office you will not be offered a seat . you will have to stand , for hours together before your public servant . Servants are masters in Inida .and masters are servants in other countries. A lot of changes have to be done in Inida to make the governments behave ..
