I wish I remembered this accurately, but I know I actually learned the answer to that exact question in high school bio. It has something to do with skin's temperature sensors not recognizing the different between extreme hot and extreme cold, but rather only recognizing that it is AN extreme. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Happens to me to.

it happens to me too. i hate it! i was in a hot tub and i was like "whoa! this jet shoots out really cold water" and then i felt it really hot. i would like to know too.

i have no idea, but your not the only one. at first its cold then its very hot. i dont like it at all

I don't know, but that is pretty cool. Is it only your feet? If you touch ice, does it burn?
