Well, Horatio already met Catherine and Warrick, when they had to go to Miami in search of a little girl whose parents were killed. (The father was in the police department, the top office of it, and he was on the table, naked, with an apple in his mouth like a pig).
So, Horatio met Grissom, but, their paths only crossed at the very end of the episode. Two of my favorite shows.

One time, the chief of police from La's Vegas gave a great party and end up dead. So, Grissom and his squad started chasing a leak since the chief's wife (a younger beauty) was missing together with their 7 year old daughter..
Finally, the girl appears somewhere near the Everglades in Miami, she had scape from the kidnapper, which in the end turn to be the driver of a limousine service, who killed the husbands and cover with honey the beautiful - young wives to rape them and finally kill them...
CSI las Vegas and CSI Miami, worked together for a week and solved the case together...
At the end of this episode, you can see a very charismatic moment, when Horatio turns the bad guy into Grissom's hand to bring him back to Vegas and punish him for the death of the chief of police...
That was one of my favorites for that season...

It happened in a case where a young girl was kidnapped, ending up in the everglades (if I remember rightly). An obvious ploy to try to convert original CSI viewers to watching CSI Miami as well.

I don't think so unless Horatio decides to take a trip to Vegas, or Gus takes a trip to South Beach.

No, because they're really the same person, cleverly disguised.
