Funny you should mention that. I worked with a fellow who had prosthetic butt cheeks after a tragic chemical spill. Some wise guy "signed" his prosthetics with indelible Magic Marker. His name must have been "Kick Me" 'cause that's how he signed it.

Buttless (that's what we nicknamed my friend) wasn't too happy, I can tell you that. He's still looking for the wise guy named Kick Me at the plant, and he still jumps when somebody walks up behind him.

People with casts allow others to sighn their casts becuase it is only a temperary object. People with amputated l;imbs don't let pweople sign because that is now part of their body they need those parts to live just like the rest of us they are fourunate enough to still hae all are nody parts, Would you wan some someone to write on your arms and legs?

Think of a cast as a "fashion accessory" that lasts about six weeks. Think of a porstheses as an arm or a leg that lasts forever. Would you let someone tattoo their signiture on you?

Perhaps for the same reason you wouldn't let people sign all over your face with a permanent marker-or would you?
