No not at all. There is a family living in the house. I absolutely loved the movie when it came out and was really interested in the house, so I checked it out it is occupied. I have friends who live in New York who checked it out for me and sent me pictures of the house. Neat home. I would love to go in the house and check it out for myself.

I don't think so. There is a website you can go to and see what the house looks like now. They have changed it quite a bit. The weird windows on the side have been replaced. I would love to go inside and check it out! Sorry, but I don't remember the website, but just type in the search bar amityville house pictures.

As far as I know it's not guarded. However, last I heard, the family that last lived there removed the center attic window to try to prevent people from recognizing it and trying to trespass on the property to get a better look.

The whole haunted story is BS. I think the family that claim they were run out were doing bad LSD trips.

The family that currently owns it ..had the FAMOUS windows changed to get people to stop taking pictures of it...

I don't think it's guarded, though they did change the signature windows, and the address to make it mroe difficult to find it.

I don't think so. The movie says it's based on a true story, butI doubt it really much there anymore, if ever.
