many people who watch anime, start to come to like/love japan. And perhaps, like me( even though i don't watch anime at all, but i study japanese)come to love japanese women. as they keep on studying or getting more and more japanese media or info, they start thinking of how fun/great japan is, and start forming the idea that they want to marry a japanese. Well, but being that 1. there is not so many japanese people in USA and 2. some of us can never go to japan because either we are poor people. 3. even if we went to japan or met japanese women, it doesn't mean we would succeed in making them like us. then our dream is unachievable. But that doesn't mean we get rid of it.. it stays in our minds forever...how can we forget all this nonsense dream, when we have come to love japan since it is part of our life through daily study of japanese/or Jpop watching?

It's not an unachievable or nonsense dream, but in my opinion you shouldn't idealize so much because then you might be looking for that specific type of woman and miss out on potential opportunities of finding someone that, despite not being what you idealized, is ideal and perfect for you nonetheless. In other words, you might fail to realize that the person you could truly love has passed you by, because you were searching for someone that would fall into a specific criteria. It seems to me you might have developed a fetish for japanese women, but the plurality factor will only add to your problem. What I mean is that even if you do find a japanese woman, you shouldn't let your fetish get the best of you and allow yourself to make the decision to be with that woman just because she is japanese, there should be lots of other more important things to consider about her. She can't, or at least shouldn't be just any japanese woman out of all japanese women, but first and foremost a woman you can love regardless of her nationality. Anyway, I'm sure there're many 2nd generation japanese immigrants in the U.S., so good luck in finding the woman of your dreams, just try not to miss out on the potential woman of your life. I hope you understand what that means. And for the record, it's great that you have a taste for japanese art and culture and whatever else, but you should avoid obsessing over it to the point where it clouds your thinking and reasoning.

Anime does not portray japan the way it really is- thats what you need to realise. It's just an idealised society you see there- perfect women, morons who get beaten up by cool guys with determination. it's just fiction. the real japan isn't like that.
