In Internet Explorer, some options require a restart when you go to Tools, Internet Options, and then the Advanced tab. Does that mean restarting Internet Explorer, or does it mean rebooting your computer?

You have several answers, and about half of the one's I've seen up to now are wrong.
You need to reboot your computer for the changes to take effect.

Reboot.You have to restart the computer so that windows accepts the changes made in IE.

"requires restart" this phrase is really not self explanatory but here we have just to concentrate on the object with which it is related i.e. IE5....
So just restart the Explorer.
If it says explicitely for restarting the computer then u can do it..

Usually it means rebooting the computer, but it usually has a sectioon at the end where it says something like: Do you want to reboot your computer now or later?

Rebooting for the changes to take effect. (Otherwise it would say close and reopen Internet Explorer.)
