Well, electricity is the one - the source of energy. Heating up of the heating coil because of resistivity. Heat is transmitted to the water by conduction (direct contact), and by convection (to other parts of the kettle). Heat (energy) is absorb which results in change of state from water to gas (boiling point). Whistle blowing (during boiling) demonstrates how sound (energy waves) is produced with steam (pressure) and the power gets cut off automatically with the use of a contact switch (bimetallic strip - expansion property). You can talk about materials used - insulation and conduction. Material for the coil and the electric wires.
