i have a 95 dodge caravan- with 150,000 miles on it... ( bought it brand new) i am always having to send it to the garage to get the injectors cleaned, as it will just quit running when taking foot off gas, have tried injector cleaners with no luck.. and having them cleaned twice a year gets expensive.. can someone tell me how to do it myself. thanks for the feedback.

why don't you just buy new ones.. that'll give you a fresh start and make less expensive in the long run. injectors run about $30-$35 each..

Take them off the car, attach a pump to the injector's nose, hook the injector up to a 12 volt power supply, and pump injector cleaning solution through it backwards.

You may or may not want to clean the injectors yourself, but you should fix what's gumming them up. When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? If that's been changed, my advice would be to drop the fuel tank and have it professionally cleaned. There's a lot of rust and crud that can build up in a fuel tank.

Instead of treating the symptom - clogged injectors - you should cure the disease, your fuel.

The reason they gum up is due to your fuel. Many people would advise you to swicth to premium grade fuel, however there is a cheaper alternative.

There is a fuel additive that will catalyze your fuel to allow it to burn cleaner, and to keep your engine cleaner. I have listed the link to it under sources below. I use it myself and have experienced a cleaner burning engine (Reduces emission by up to 80%). They claim it will increase your mileage by 10 to 35%. My mileage increased by 20%. This product should not only CLEAN your injectors, it should also keep them clean. You fule savings will probably pay for the product over and over. Check out the website, they even offer a money back guarantee.
