I have 4 tattoos and I dont personally think any of them were very painful. bear in mind that Pain is a subjective thing. Whats painful to me might not be to someone else. I think in my personal view tattoos cause more discomfort than pain. The closer they are to a bone the more the discomfort. Still Im not talking about wrenching agony here. its Uncomfortable but very bearable. Its like a very prolonged cat scratch. Some burning, some soreness. I dont think they Hurt as much as they are somewhat uncomfortable. Youll do fine.

it'll hurt but it is totally bearable. i have a tattoo covering my back. so far the most painful part has been the tattooing on my spine. so that part will definitely hurt. so compared to that pain the rest of it is really cake. that seems like a large tattoo to be done in one sitting. i guess it depends on how much detail there is but it should take atleast two sittings. i wouldn't be willing to sit for one tattoo for more than 3 1/2 hours it WILL start to hurt much more after that.

i have 5 tats and they all hurt a little bit the outline hurts the most its a minor inconvienence for something that will last a lifetime so take you time and get what you really want cause your going to have to live with it. the only real hurt i can think of is after you got it you didnt like it or the artist messed up which is more common than you know. do not drink before either it only enhances the pain good luck on your tat

I see a lot of people are saying pain is subjective...I am not big on pain, but I have 3 tattoos and am planning my 4th. Put it this way...it hurts...but not enough for people not to go back. You can handle it! Trust me...childbirth is much worse and people have more than one kid too...I have 2!

the pain experience from a tattoo depends on which part of the body you get it. if you get it where there is not a lot of skin it will hurt a lot, because it is closer to the bone, if you get it where there is a lot of skin, don't worry, it will be fine. just be careful with who you get it, some tattoo artist are a piece of crap.

I personally enjoyed the feeling, it gave me a rush after a bit, but it might get a little painful especially around the spin area. If you can take pain well it will feel like a continuous scratch, if you can't take pain well, well you might need someone to hold on to your hand. Good Luck!

Mine is on my lower back, the worst part was the outline but it was not that bad. I think it will hart worse being on your spine and I know ankle bone tats can hurt also. I had some meat where mine was put. It depends on how detail and size also. Good Luck!!

It depends on your body type, weight, skin type, and pain tolerance. If there's less fat and meat between the skin and bone it will hurt more than if you have muscle or fat under the skin. Usually, back tattoos don't hurt too much...a bit uncomfortable maybe.

pain is relative. w/ it being part of the experience it won't be that bad. each tattoo artist has a different touch so it's hard to say how much you'll feel. after the outline it's fairly numb anyway. good luck and welcome to the world of ink.
