If you read from a wide range of sources and take the time to learn differing creation myths and ancient cultures than the answer is polytheism.

If you get most of your anthropology and history from a guy reading from the same book every sunday morning, than it is monotheism

Monotheism, I thought, therefore I was.
Polytheism, then God looked lonley, so I gave it some frieds to play with.
In the true Philosophy of Godhead and isms, it starts with an indavidual thought.
Truth is a reality that we assume to be.

Polytheism, by far. Though Judaism was considered the first monotheistic religion, actually one Egyptian pharoah insisted that Egypt be a monotheistic nation. Akanatten, the pharoah immediately before Tutankhammon, refused to fund any temples except those dedicated to the Atten, the sun disc. In fact, Tutankhammon's original name was Tutankatten, but it was changed after Akanatten died (possibly murdered by the priests of one of the other temples). Tut reinstated the other religions, and Akanatten was forgotten for centuries, but it is possible that Judaism was influenced by his concept of one god.

Non-theism was first, then polytheism, which is widespread today and always has been, then monotheism came last to spoil everything. Monomania is a product of excessive inbreeding.

Polytheism, many early cultures had polytheistic beliefs, some in the form of natural dieties and spirits. Abraham, according to my knowledge, was originator of the first monotheistic belief system which became Judaism.

monotheism, because Adam and Eve' worship was only for the Creator. When they decided to follow Satan'advice about to be independent of God, They chose him as them new god. But some people that believes to be monotheistic aren't really, because their `gods` are the money, pleasure or fame.
