its dangerous because your smoking or rather the ashes from the cigarate can cause or at least contribute to sparks and other conditions that can cause problems.

The rules are the rules, here in DC you can not Eat, Drink or smoke on the train or in any station. Peoplewho eat and drink spill things and make messes. If we could trust that people would take personal responsibility then we wouldn't need these rules.

Smokers are the worst. I drive a jeep and it pisses me off to no end when the people in front of me just flick their lit cigarettes out the window. What if it flies into my car? I stop at traffic lights and am sickened by the HUNDREDS of butts on the side of the road.

So, you get to pay for the cleanup the hard way.

Smoking is dangerous! and so is smoking in a subway, its an enclosed space, there was a fire some years ago on one on the underground stations in London, Kings Cross, killed people including firement, not caused by a cigarette, but was still a fire underground, why shoud others be forced to suffer the smoke around you as well, stop smoking and lengthen your life!

The ticket is not dangerous. However standing in a crowded place and smoking when it is prohibited is very rude and a dangerous fire hazard.
