Very small, healthy meals and plenty of exercise.

Don't expect to keep it off without a maintenance plan, i.e., more dieting and exercise.

Basically you have to make lifestyle changes or you'll be back in the same rut sure as I'm sitting here.

I wish you luck.

If you are overweight and a "carb" type (you have a pot belly and crave breads and carbs), then go on the Atkins Diet and also exercise 5 days a week. It's hard for the first 3-4 days, but then it's not hard to stick to if you are determined. Strict adherence to Atkins in a one-month period will allow you to lose 20 or more pounds. But if you go off Atkins, you will gain it all back. I truly believe in the Atkins principles as being a healthy lifestyle, but the reality is that it's hard to stick with long-term unless you have a will of steel. Best of luck.

nothing healthy will help you do that. you can go on a crash diet but the first 7-10 lbs will be water weight and it will come back.

to lose 20 lbs it takes a few months to do it healthy like.

depending on your size now, you probably can't. Unless you are about 400 pounds, you can plan on losing about 2 to 3 pounds a week.

You wouldn't. Just like everyone else you have to expend more calories than you take in, in order to lose weight. Burn off 3600 calories and you lose one pound. You can lose 1-2 pounds a week.
