No...
Many pain relievers will thin your blood, just like drinking alcohol. If you are going to get one, I'd suggest something topical---just to numb the skin a bit.
But I've found that after about the first five minutes, the area goes numb, anyway!

No I did not. Tattoos DON'T hurt. And if you think they hurt, you shouldn't get one.... most people should know (and your artist will tell you) you shouldn't take ANYTHING before you get a tattoo... if you find it painful after, then you can take something, but never before. Most painkillers (ibuprofen, Tylenol etc) just thins out your blood which will cause you to bleed more, and will make the tattoo artists job that much harder.....

No! But, I buy a pack of bubble gum and chew it while getting tattooed. It helps me alot. Taking medicine or drinking alcohol before getting it done can cause you to bleed more. It isn't that bad. If it was, noone would do it.

No it's really not that bad.

Although I did get a tattoo once with a mild sunburn - that was a bad idea

1. it hurt
2. it blead
3. I had to get it touched up due to the bleeding and scabbing

so keep that in mind

no, they don't hurt that much, have you ever had mild sunburn, that's what it feels like, nothing more. Believe me I have a really low pain thresh hold, so low that I am always the first one to take painkillers for any minor ailment, and I have 5 tattoos, just goes to show they really don't hurt that much.

No I didnt take any pain med's and I didnt drink or do any drugs before getting any of mine. It really don't hurt getting them done.
Besides its not a good Ideal to take pain meds before getting a tattoo and its not going to do any good anyways. When you take pain meds if you pinch your self do you still feel it? Yes you do, kinda the same thing.

No, and it's not a good idea. Some medications can thin your blood, which is a bad thing since you will be bleeding. Same goes with alcohol.

I didn't take any pain medicine, you really don't want to take any alcohol or asprin or stuff like that because uit makes you bled more because it thins the blood.
