i love socks. never can find a pair but i love them. i wash them in a washer. if you have a top load it better. white socks bleach and detergent let it wash right before it drains out the water, lift the top up. let it soak. for a good 15 min. then turn the dial and start the wash again close the top and let it go through it whole cycle. i use that to wash all my whites. that's how i get them to look its whitest

I always machine wash all of my socs with laundry detergent bleach, of course they are all white. I would machine wash the dark ones too with like colors.

If you wish to REALLY clean your socks, machine wash them at the HOTTEST temp your machine provides, or, you may boil them in a pot on your stove. If you care about removing all of the fungus/baccteria that builds up in them.

if I had to hand wash socks i would shoot myself, thats what washing machines are for so you don't have to handwash!
